Welcome to the Blue Mountain Partners Habitat for Humanity Home Page.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFH seeks to eliminate poverty housing and hopelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from all walks of life to work together in partnership to help build houses with families in need. Habitat has built approximately 40,000 houses around the world, providing over 100,000 people with safe, decent, affordable shelter.
The Blue Mountain Partners Habitat for Humanity has built three houses so far in the Blue Mountain area. The first house Blue Mountain Partners built was in Waitsburg, and was a three bedroom house. The second house was a five bedroom house for the Reyes family in Walla Walla, and the third was a house in Walla Walla, dedicated on March 22, 1998. If you would like to help with the current house, please call the Habitat office at (509) 529-5906 or email us at schuelaw@whitman.edu.
